Workshop for framing of BE – Biotechnology Syllabus for VII and VIII semesters: VTU has arranged a Workshop for framing Syllabus of B.E. VII and VIII Semesters of Biotechnology. Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davangere, has agreed to organise the workshop on
All the Principals of VTU affiliated Engineering colleges are requested to depute one or two senior staff members to the above said workshop. The names of the faculty attending the workshop with their specialisation may be forwarded to the Principal, Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davangere. The members attending the workshop are requested to come prepared for certain subjects of their Specialisation and should provide with suggestions, if any, for fine tuning of the syllabus likely to be presented.

Applications are invited for registration for Ph.D. in Engg./ Science / M.Sc. (Engg.) by Research programs of Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum. Application form with details can be obtained from The Registrar, Visveswaraiah Technological University, K.L.E. Hospital Campus, Nehru Nagar, Belgaum – 590 010. Appeal to the examiner with money as enclosures to the answer book, use of abusive obscene language or threatening remarks in the answer book. | Denial of performance of all subjects of that particular examination in which the candidate has appeared. |
· Revealing the identity in the answer script like writing of USN in inner pages, peculiar markings, etc.
· Appeal to the examiners for the award of certain marks · Tearing off of the answer script sheets or supplementary sheets. |
Fine not less than Rs. 500/- and extendable to the denial of performance of all subjects of that particular examination in which the candidate has appeared. |
· Possession of Manuscript printed or typed matter, books or notes and written matter on Calculator, Instrument Box, etc., or having any other written matter on the person (for example Palm, Hand, Leg, Clothes, Socks, books, log tables, programmable calculator, scribbling pads, data organizers or any kind of references into the examination hall etc.) pertaining to previous, present and further examinations the candidate is taking during the semester
· Bringing of Mobile Phones. |
Denial of performance of all subjects of that particular examination in which the candidate has appeared and debar him/her for a further number of chances extending up to two more of all examinations. |
· Detection of identical answers in the answer scripts of different candidates or allowing another candidate to copy from his/her answer script.
· Found giving or receiving assistance at the examination, passing the question paper with written answer / formulae / answer script / additional sheet / Graph Sheet Drawing Sheet for purpose of copying. · Destroying the documentary evidence, running away with answer scripts or (question paper after starting of the examination of that paper) without handing it over to the invigilator while leaving the examination hall. |

Notification: To the Notice of 5th Semester students who are admitted prior to 2002-03: Proceedings of the meeting of subcommittee convened on 7th December 2003 to workout the modalities of conducting 5th semester classes for the students who are admitted prior to 2002-03 and who wish to continue with the old syllabus but not to join new scheme.
27 colleges have been identified to run the parallel courses for 5th semester students admitted before 2002-03. There are approximately 3000 students from among 25 branches who have become eligible to go to 5th semester during the academic year 2003-04. Out of this, whoever becomes eligible for going to 5th semester and also who opt out of the new scheme have to be accommodated by conducting parallel programmes in the old scheme……………….. CIRCULAR: University is issuing TRANSCRIPTS (consolidated list of all semester marks cards) to the students, on request, who have passed in all the semesters from I to VIII B.E./B.Tech. the copy of the same is enclosed for notification of the concerned.
